I had been looking at getting a netbook for a while, mostly the Asus EeePC range.

However, I started looking at the MSI Wind U100+. The U100+ is the upgraded version of the U100.

Specs:

• Newer N280 Intel processor (1.6Ghz)
• 1GB RAM (upgradable to 2GB)
• 10" screen (1024x600 resolution)
• 160GB SATA HDD
• 1.3MP webcam
• 4 in 1 card reader
• 10/100 Ethernet

• Mic In, Headphone In

So far, it's been working like a charm. Getting it to connect to my wireless connection was a bit of a nightmare, but that was resolved by changing the encryption type on the router.

I'm posting a video guide I put together eariler this morning, here on my blog, using the YouTube feature in TinyMCE (WYSIWYG text editor) that is integrated into my site.

In other news, I'm still currently building the comment system (for my site) that I mentioned about before. I just haven't done anything with it for a while. Stay tuned.

This is my first blog entry for a while now & I thought I'd let you, the visitors, know that I've been working on a few things, that'll be integrated with the blog.

Soon, users will be able to leave comments on my blog entries. For this, you'll be required to sign up. Non-registered users can still see some of this new system in action, with limited features, by reading the comments, left by other registered users.

Also, I've integrated an avatar/display picture system, that allows registered users, to upload an image of their choosing, to be their little personal mark on my site. The avatar is only visible (publicly), when a user leaves a comment.

These systems are still currently being developed, however, most of it has already been completed.

Keep your eye on my site for any updates on my blog.

I grabbed a little thermometer today, to measure the temperature in my room, der.

It measured somewhere in the 36°C range.

On another note, this very blog entry is the first entry, on my site, to be typed using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) text editor, called TinyMCE.

This now allows me to freely type what I want to post without coding actual HTML. For example, to represent where a paragraph starts & finishes. I can insert smilies or emotions, as you can see in the first paragraph. I can easily insert media ranging from images to flash videos from YouTube.

It basically saves me hard coding HTML & does the formatting for me.
